The Verdict

When I am usually asked what would be the one favourite restaurant worldwide for me my answer would be to mention two restaurants one of them Frantzen in Stockholm. Zén is the Singapore offshoot of the restaurant Frantzén. It is chef Björn Frantzén’s first international outpost and has been awarded three Michelin stars and is listed on the WB50. A nondescript white townhouse, no apparent signs and a closed door - not exactly what you would expect from a three Michelin stars. Marked as one of the most expensive restaurants in Singapore. Zén serves just one fixed tasting menu. The highlights of the menu are Zén’s signature “French Toast” and grilled A5 wagyu. With most tasting menus, there’s always one or two dishes that I’m not fond of. But in the case of Zen, I truly enjoyed every single dish. Service was impeccable.
