The Verdict
Marmellata Bakery, Abu Dhabi, UAE. A place with lot of hype. It’s a small pizzeria with a cult following. The dough is crispy outside but inside so soft and light. The toppings are a bit exotic and are of an acquired taste. Pepperoni with hot honey and the fig with gorgonzola as examples. The atmosphere is simple but full of energy, more like a buzzing neighborhood spot than a polished restaurant. The place takes no reservations and queues are common. In sum, not perfect, but when it comes to pizza, it delivers at a level that genuinely stands out.
