Signor Sassi
Signor Sassi. The iconic Knightsbridge hotspot popular amongst Gulf people, which originated in London in 1984, has arrived in Dubai. While the original venue in London is more casual, the Dubai venture is more extravagant and fine dining. The venue is large and classic. The decor is old style and anything but Italian. Food arranged between very good and average. The beef carpaccio, and the Sicilian rice balls were very good, the calamari Fritti was soggy and poorly executed. The lobster spaghetti was very good but on the sweet side. The tiramisu was very good but the Amalfi Lemon Delice was anything but lemony. Service was slick and posh. And the music was so loud for a fine dining experience. I am not sure whether to rate it Very Good or Acceptable. For now it is #very_good pending a second visit and trying other items.
