The Verdict

Girl & the Ghoose, “Welcome home” said Chef Gabriela Chamorro as I walked through the door, a greeting that felt both warm and intentional. After 5 years of serving Central American cuisine in a supper club and after spending 17 years in Dubai, chef Chamorro decided to venture into opening her own restaurant. Cozy and central American inspired ambience with Spanish and Mesoamerican colonial influences. The menu features classics like tacos, ceviches, some with a modern twist. The ingredients used are high-quality. The coffee and orange duck was outstanding. Simply put, Chef Chamorro knows what she’s doing.

About this Restaurant

Open for Business

In 2009, Nicaraguan born Chef Gabriela Chamorro arrived in Dubai with just $200 and a dream to explore the world through food. As a former Emirates crew member, she spent years immersing herself in global flavors, with a special love for street food culture.

She started her supper club in 2019 and since then she’s been on a mission to reimagine Central American cuisine, drawing inspiration from her travels around the world.

Girl & the Goose – Restaurante Centroamericano has now become the UAE’s first restaurant to bring together the diverse and vibrant cuisines of the Mesoamerican region under one roof.
