Ristorante Ariston
The Verdict
Rístorante Ariston, Cortina, Italy. One of Cortina’s dependable restaurants, offering traditional Ampezzo cuisine like homemade pasta and game dishes. Casual setting. Service is generally efficient although it can occasionally feel rushed during busy periods. The restaurant has no reservation policy. While it is not the most innovative restaurant in town, Ariston stands out for its consistency. I tried the Casunziei Ampezzani which is Cortina’s signature pasta, beetroot-filled ravioli served with butter, Parmesan, and poppy seeds which was descent.

About this Restaurant
The Ariston is a family-run restaurant: since the late 1970s the Piccolin family has led it with the same dedication as on day one. In the kitchen, chef Roberto pairs traditional Ampezzo recipes with more creative dishes, born of his flair and of the search for the finest ingredients.
