Ossiano
Located in the basement of the Atlantis Hotel, with its floor to ceiling windows look out into its aquarium, Ossiano is a truly fine dining experience, everything from the design of the dishes, to the symbolic plates they are presented on, to the way the staff recite chef Gregoire’s story. It could be one of the very few places in Dubai that provide a full fine dining experience.Chef Grégoire Berger came back with an entirely new experience revolving around his upbringing in Brittany, north-west France. The concept of traveling around France is nice but it is overdone to the extent that it becomes pretentious. The experience is a set menu type with no à la carte option. The dishes are beautifully done, and the taste in generalis well balanced. In my opinion, there is an over focus on form and presentation that in some dishes it outshines the substance. Also, there is a lack of a proper main dish. May be the sea bream course but I would have preferred a proper meat dish. Also, I was expecting more on #desserts The experience is quite long; almost 4 hours.
