Kresios is a two Michelin headed by Chef Giuseppe Iannotti and located in an old country-house. The restaurant is small for the size of its area. I think it only has 4 or 5 tables. The atmosphere is elaxed and informal . The name of the menu, “Mr.Brown”, a reference to the movie “Reservoir Dogs”. There’s no choice here, just one surprise tasting menu divided into appetizers, main and desserts, each consisting of various bites. Chef Iannotti is known for his innovative and experimental approach to Italian cuisine, blending traditional flavors with modern techniques. His cooking is inspired by Spanish, Japanese cuisines and other global trends. The combination has already resulted in his two dishes signature dishes: the concentrated spaghetto allo scoglio and the risotto with black olives. My experience was unfortunately disappointing. The first fish course had a very hard texture. Almost every dish, including the signature concentrated spaghetto allo (which has 52 ingredients), were very very overly salty. There is an obvious attempt to be creative but the outcome is unappealing. Desserts were, however, good. And they don’t serve soft drinks!! If that was the restaurant’s policy then provide other alternatives. I have seen this in many upscale restaurants in various cities and some are very creative on drinks. Kresios had none. So your options other than wine is water 💧
