Santiago Lastra
The Verdict
Kol, modern Mexican restaurant that showcases British ingredients led by Chef Patron Santiago Lastra. Chef Lastra cut his teeth in restaurants such as Noma before opening his own restaurant. Kol is not a restaurant that will appeal to everyone. The approach is bold and unconventional. For example, 3 of the dishes incorporate insects. I found the food to be over complicated even for someone who is accustomed to sophisticated dining. One set menu. However, portions are well balanced so you won’t feel overly full.
