Septime
Septime, one of the most difficult restaurants to book in Paris. Supposed to be the quintessence of the new breed of Parisian restaurants. With one Michelin ⭐️and also listed on WB50 which describes it as “Explosive flavours and unsung ingredient” and holding the ranking of 24 worldwide, the expectations should be high. Does it deliver to the promise? In my humble opinion, no, it comes short of expectations. It is a 5 courses menu for lunch and 7 for dinner. The food is very vegetable forward which is fine if it is properly delivered. Food presentation looks very interesting but lacks balance and in most cases flavour. Nothing impressive. Bread was served with no butter! Cheese selection was poor. Only 3 types and slices. And again No Coke!! The atmosphere is very casual. The worst part was that the kitchen staff began conspicuously cleaning the kitchen before all of the guests were served, some hadn’t even received their principal plate. I have never experienced this before.
