Savryn
The Verdict
Savryn, Dubai, UAE. Dubai is home to many unique dining experiences, and a fresh addition to the city’s restaurant scene is Savryn by Egyptian Chef Shehab Medhat. Saveyn brings a modern touch to dishes from across the African continent. I had previously tried two restaurants in Dubai serving African cuisine and I was not impressed. Savryn is different. Savryn is small restaurant with only 28 seats. The decor and ambience are quite unique; red facade, red curtains and lamps with feathers. Savryn offers both à la carte and tasting menu options. The menu is an exploration of African flavors and ingredients. The style is small bites. The food was creative and delicious. Chef Medhat is talented and brings creativity to the different items he presents.
