The Verdict
Restaurant Alan Geaam. I believe this was the first Lebanese restaurant that got one Michelin star. The focus is revisiting the classics of French cuisine with Lebanese tastes and flavours. Imagine langoustine baked with blood orange and sumac and smoked in mint; cured trout wrapped in a sheet of sweet potato and served with scorched clementine and za’atar. The fish course was served undercooked, and they had to change it. For a Michelin star restaurant this is simply unacceptable.
