The Verdict
Mayta Restaurante, the flagship restaurant of chef Jaime Pesaque who worked in some renowned restaurants like El Celler de Can Roca before returning to his home country of Peru. Mayta means “Nobel Land” in the Aymara language. The offering is both à la carte and a multi-course tasting menu focusing on Peruvian earth ingredients from different regions of Peru. Some of the dishes like the mushroom and the bread didn’t live up to the visual artistry. Service was solid and professional.
