The Verdict

The third location outside of India for this Indian fine dining concept, created by the founding family of the Leela hotel chain, is Jamavar Dubai—charming and glamorous decor and ambiance. There are two options on the menu: à la carte and tasting. Service was refined. The food was ok. We were all thinking it was on the bland side of Indian food. To be honest, I think it will be difficult to compete with Dubai's Indian restaurant scene.

Jamavar Dubai, located in the Address Residences Opera District, is the third international outpost of the critically acclaimed Indian fine dining concept by LSL Capital. Drawing inspiration from the Viceroy’s home in New Delhi, Jamavar brings the essence of palatial Indian dining to Downtown Dubai with an effusive design, offset with flourishes and patterns of Jamavar shawls and hand cut marquetry. Set against a backdrop of a glamorous dining hall, an intimate bar, and a residential outdoor terrace, Jamavar provides the perfect Indian dining destination to Dubai’s burgeoning culinary stage.
