Jaleo by José Andrés. JA is a Spanish-American chef and restauranteur. He is also know for his charitable work. He owns restaurants in several cities around the United States, and has won a number of awards, both for his cooking and for his humanitarian work.It’s the first Jaleo restaurant outside of America. Spanish cuisine hasn’t been a front-runner in Dubai’s culinary scene so we need to see if Jaleo will change the scene.Charming, beautiful and relaxed decor and ambiance with an open kitchens prepping huge paellas and grills. The menu highlights the regional diversity of Spanish cuisine and is designed for sharing concept.Highlights here include crispy chicken croquetas and definitely the paella (they have a large portion which can accommodate 5 to 7 people and a smaller one for 3 to 4). From the desserts the Arroz Con Leche (rice pudding) and the Basque cheesecake (note that it is different to what you are used to as Basque cheesecake in Dubai).
