Daikan Izakaya

2 / 5
Price per Person AED 220

Daikan Izakaya is the younger sister of Dubai’s homegrown Daikan Ramen. The ambiance is minimalistic and elegant. The menu is divided into sections like small plates, sushi, grilled skewers, and mains. We tried differently items from different sections. The food was ok but nothing to rave about.

About this Restaurant

Open for Business

Launched in 2017 as a small pop-up founded by two brothers from Germany, Daikan has grown into the UAE’s leading specialist in authentic Japanese ramen. Now boasting four vibrant locations – the fully licensed Daikan Izakaya at Yas Bay, Abu Dhabi and City Walk, Dubai, and the fun and casual Daikan Ramen at Nakheel Mall and JLT, Dubai – we are loved for our signature ramen, creative Japanese specialties, and casual, yet elegant vibe that immediately makes everyone feel at home.

Our reputation as the UAE’s favourite ramen joint has been further established with prestigious accolades from the What’s On Abu Dhabi Awards, the FACT Dining Awards Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and many other important publications and brands.

Following the success of Daikan, we launched Hanar at Yas Bay, Abu Dhabi in the summer of 2024. Created as a tribute to the diverse culinary heritage of the Mesopotamia and Anatolia regions, it offers an array of sharing-style mezze, casual street food, juicy marinated grills, and more specialties from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey and beyond.

Always thinking of new ideas and experiences for our guests to enjoy, we are continuously expanding, and plans to open further Daikan branches are well under way.
