Brigadiers, London, UK. Inspired by Indian army mess halls and barbecue cooking. The menu leans into smoke and strong flavours. Standout dishes include the butter chicken masala, tandoori lamb chops, and the house dahl. On the other hand, the biryani was a let down and the kulfi had no resemblance to Kulfi. The atmosphere is loud and lively.

About this Restaurant
The army mess clubs of India provide the theme for this large restaurant spread across several rooms on the ground floor of the Bloomberg building. The cooking has a strong live fire element, blending street food dishes and those cooked on the barbecue, like the delicious goat tikki bun kebab. ‘Feast’ menus are available if you’re in a big group and there’s a decent selection of beers and whiskies too. It’s a perennially busy place and they have several screens for showing sport, so the atmosphere is predictably loud and lively.
