OCAK is a hidden gem located in the Old Town area of Istanbul (Fatih). This sophisticated restaurant offers elevated versions of the most authentic and traditional Anatolian dishes. For example “three shades of chickpeas”, which offers three delectable versions of the humble legume with a homemade lavash. Chef Ömer Bozyap puts his own spin on Turkish tradition and the outcome is worth it. He manages to strike the right balance of traditional and contemporary in his combinations of bold flavours.The only dish that I did not like was the dessert which was too sweet for my taste
