Jara by Martin Berasategui. Martín Berasategui specializes in Basque cuisine. His restaurant in Spain has received three Michelin stars since 2001. He has twelve stars in total, more than any other Spanish chef. He brings Basque cuisine to Dubai through Jara. The decor is modern and elegant, with an open kitchen. The service is certainly friendly, but it does not always reach the high standards you would expect from such a well-known restaurant. The focus here is on seafood, but steaks are also available. The menu is designed for sharing plates. The red shrimp tartare and croquettes were outstanding. There was one item that is still not on the menu, so I can not remember the name, but it was outstanding. The Basque cheesecake and caramelised brioche with milk ice cream are must-have desserts.
