The Verdict
Haji’s Cafe was founded in 1950. It is nestled in the center of the capital Manama close to Bab Al-Bahrain. Haji Traditional Café is a simple traditional restaurant that serves freshly “waqafi” bread and is known for breakfast. You need to come very early because lines start to form early. I arrived at 7 am, and I was lucky to find a table of people who were leaving. The ambience is great, but the food is average. The Belaleet lacked sweetness, most of the items lacked salt and the Karak was served without sugar, although sugar is the main ingredient. In my opinion, the place is overrated.
