Dara Dining by Sara Aqel, Amman, Jordan. Set in a restored villa, Dara is led by the talented Palestinian Jordanian chef Sara Aqel . This restaurant offers its own take on Mediterranean cuisine. It is different from Amman’s usual culinary scene. The menu changes seasonally. The presentation is as creative as the food itself. For example, fish in vine leaves, the Reem cigar (named after the famous shawarma) and If Moussaka was from Gaza. The ingredients are locally sourced. Few dishes stood out but in particular the rice pudding was truly outstanding with the chef’s creative touch to it.
