The Verdict
Common Breads, a bakery offering Lebanese street food called “Kaak”. Kaak is a bread made from flour, water, and salt, which has been a staple of Levantine street food for centuries. It is moulded into an “purse” shape with a hole at the top, which allows vendors to hang the roll from a rig attached to their bicycles. Common Breads offers a modern take on Kaak with different fillings. They also serve mana’eesh (a popular Levantine food of dough topped with Zaa’tar, cheese or ground meat) which is not to be missed. On the menu are also items for lunch like Palestinian chicken musakhan. If you are craving a Lebanese Kaak then this is the place to go to.
