Char

Char, a venture by homegrown, Emirati-owned brand Around The Block. It is a grilled concept. The design and atmosphere is minimalistic but elegant. The menu takes familiar dishes and gives them a twist—like the Lobster Arayes, a creative reimagining of a classic that few would dare to touch. I have to give the restaurant the credit for pushing boundaries with such confidence. The Wagyu Tikka Lomi was outstanding. The quality of ingredients is high. This is definitely not a mall quality restaurant. They serve only two desserts both which were very good. The only drawback? They serve their own version of Coke instead of the original, decent, but not quite the same.
