Chicago is known for its deep dish style Pizza. John Stewart famously called it a “bleeping casserole” and “tomato soup in a bread bowl”. It is very different from the Italian style pizza that we are used to. I found it to be very delicious. It yields more than just molten discs of Cheese and tomato sauce bounded by thick crust. The sides are like biscuit and the center is soft and fluffy. I visited one of the most famous pizza places in Chicago; Pequod’s Pizza which is a mainstay in the competitive Chicago pizza scene. Very casual atmosphere but an excellent pizza. Overall rating is Excellent.
