Chic Nonna is a new Italian dining destination in there DIFC. It originates from Florence and has restaurant and lounge. The promise is an “upscale experience that enhances the best of Italian culinary tradition”. Have they met this statement? I believe they have still some way to go. The restaurant has a beautiful and elegant decor and ambience. The service is excellent, professional and attentive. Coming to the food, the starters were good but nothing special. The pizza was average; a bit on the soggy side and could not be distinguished from any other pizza place around the town. The pastas on the other hand were excellent. The cacio e pepe was different but excellen. Cooked perfectly el Dante. The Red mullet not fresh and disappointment. Turning to the desserts, Tiramisu was very good but the highlight of the desserts was the Torta Della Nonna which you should not miss. So it is a bit difficult to read this restaurant because the standards vary and there is no consistency. However, I think they may improve going forward. Overall rating is Very Good
